Because what I cared about when doing that was getting a broader swath of data than had appeared in anything before, at least for a long time. (My lit review shows what HAD been written and how it had been done) And WHY I cared about that was because I cared about fellow workersPermalink On twitter.com

In order to write it, I had to get to that WHY. I cared about people who felt like they were an outlier, and a failing one. I cared about the kind of expectations that admins put on workers to make fetch (spontaneous self-deposit) happen.Permalink On twitter.com

I could reference @LibSkrat's Innkeeper and How to Scuttle pieces for additional analysis and recommendations. I generally agreed w/her and nothing had changed that much. But what I wanted was to get together the numbers that said "you are not alone. we are not failures."On twitter.com
