  1. This whole thread relates to a thing that cane into my head at the labor forum. We are VASTLY out of whack as a culture on costs and have hard times even grokking that $50k/year in 2007 and 2019 are quite different. Let alone 1987 and 2019. @gravislizard/1138904335847346176

      And yet that 50k was well above average in our survey data even for folks with Masters, often getting paid by people who asked for the money (eg didn’t have to find in their own budget)
