        (while for a lot of people that might not be worth reporting now, if you've seen me in person you know that was an issue that left a lot of scarring--though it's not why I'm seeing this one)

      (completely random thing - I feel a strong emotional affinity with Edward James Olmos, especially on days when the scarring is extra visible. Something about seeing his face on screen made a younger me feel less alone? Though they never would put up a woman like that)

    (I cannot express to you what it's like to be an adult in public, working at a circ desk or riding a train and have complete strangers walk up and give me verba or... actually worse... WRITTEN advice on what I should do about my face.)
