        also c) eliminate the debt == slavery metaphor except perhaps when discussing ways in which debt has been used against Black communities to reinscribe slavery once it was outlawed.

      oh and if it was a financial loss that makes it just as immoral. "I'm going to deny people their liberty, their families, their bodies, their labor, and more -- but don't worry, I'M actually only the losing end of this deal" isn't somehow less evil, cruel, and immoral.

    Even if you could sit down and prove with ledgers, etc., beyond a shadow of a doubt that they lost money (which I don't believe on the overall scale of things), all you would be proving to me was that they were evil, cruel, and bad at finance.
